Refugees and Resettlement

On April 7, 2022, LWV of the Plymouth Area in conjunction with Plymouth No Place for Hate presented the program, Refugees and Resettlement, with keynote speakers Mary Truong, Executive Director, MA Office of Refugees and Immigrants; and Steve Shrader, Catholic Charities Volunteer; followed by a panel of refugees who have been resettled to our community. You Can Help:  How To Be a Part of These Refugees’ Resettlement Journey

(1) Join POWIR (Parishes  Organizing to Welcome Immigrants and Refugees). Sign up for Volunteer Opportunities by adding your name and email address to this Google Spreadsheet.

You will be contacted within a week of signing up.

(2) Help refugees pay for rent, vehicle purchases, and insurance payments. The goal is to fund help with rent payments for six months to a year and to fund the purchase of reliable used cars along with six months to a year of insurance expenses.
